While browsing the blogosphere about SharePoint Governance, I noticed that the subject is still in it's infancy. Most people writing about the subject have a technical background - much like me - and therefore also tend to look at it from a technical perspective, which is only natural. The benefits of such Governance are mostly obvious and clear: easier maintenance, higher up-times and happier users. With SharePoint 2010 soon to be released, Microsoft has taken a big step in improving the operational side of things. (Side note: I'm currently writing a series about that)
While operational Governance is an important component, SharePoint Governance does have several more aspects which need addressing.
